We inspire, motivate and educate people to overcome violence,
in all its forms.
The original sculpture of The Knotted Gun was crafted by the Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd in 1980 after the tragic deadly shooting of his friend, John Lennon. In 1988, a bronze edition of the iconic sculpture was donated to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.
“The sculpture Non-Violence has enriched the consciousness of humanity with a powerful symbol that encapsulates, in a few simple curves, the greatest prayer of man which asks not for victory, but for peace.”
Our goal is to educate 20 million people by 2030 on the principles of conflict resolution
– a movement of positive change,
across global communities.
Our educational programs empower individuals of all ages, from children to adults, with the skills needed to resolve conflicts peacefully and create lasting positive change.
By focusing on the root causes of violence, participants develop empathy, effective communication skills, and constructive problem-solving abilities. These skills enable them to foster a culture of peace within their communities, supporting the goals outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
From global music concerts to art exhibitions, our events foster community, inspire dialogue, and promote a unified stand for peace.
We are proud to collaborate with global ambassadors and local heroes dedicated to social justice, non-violence, and a peaceful future.
Join our global network of peace advocates and help shape a violence-free world.
Over the years, The Non-Violence Project has expanded its local presence across five continents, creating meaningful impact through local partnerships, schools and communities that share our commitment to peace and non-violence.
We feel honored that one queen, two presidents, several international organizations, hundreds of ambassadors, and millions of educated teachers, trainers and students have recognized our educational efforts.
