Robin Söderling is a Swedish former professional tennis player who reached an ATP world No. 4 singles ranking in 2010. Known for his powerful game and resilience, he made history as the first player to defeat Rafael Nadal at the French Open, paving the way for two consecutive finals appearances at Roland Garros.
In 2011, Söderling joined as a Non-Violence Ambassador alongside his good friend, artist and writer Ernst Billgren. Together, they created their own interpretation of The Knotted Gun, titled Tennis For Peace. The sculpture was painted using a unique method - Billgren dipped tennis balls into paint, and Söderling hit them onto the sculpture. Tennis For Peace was unveiled at the Swedish Open on center court in Båstad.
The Tennis For Peace sculpture is available in a limited edition, hand-painted and presented in an exclusive gift box with a certificate. A portion of the proceeds supports The Non-Violence Project’s mission.
The Non-Violence Project Foundation is a non-profit organization with special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
