Jonny Johansson is the co-founder and creative director of Acne Studios, a Swedish fashion house known for its distinctive design and multidisciplinary approach. He founded Acne in 1996 with the ambition to merge fashion, art, and design under the concept Ambition to Create Novel Expression.
In 1997, Johansson designed 100 pairs of jeans with red stitching, which he distributed to friends and family. This unconventional approach marked the beginning of Acne Studios, a brand that has since grown into an internationally recognized name in fashion.
As a Non-Violence Ambassador, Johansson created his own interpretation of The Knotted Gun, titled Acne for Peace. The sculpture features a revolver with a knotted barrel, surrounded by an abstract pattern in soft pastel colors. The original 100 cm Acne for Peace sculpture is placed at the entrance of Acne Studios’ main office.
The Acne for Peace sculpture is available in a limited edition, hand-painted and presented in an exclusive gift box with a certificate. A portion of the proceeds supports The Non-Violence Project’s mission.
The Non-Violence Project Foundation is a non-profit organization with special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
