In 2010, in connection with the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, The Non-Violence Project launched the Coloud Headphones, merging the passion of football with creative design and a commitment to non-violence. This collaboration used sports and art as tools for dialogue, demonstrating how global events can serve as platforms for positive change.
The headphones featured colorful designs inspired by international football celebrities, capturing the energy and diversity of the World Cup. To bring the message to life, full-size replicas of Knotted Gun sculptures featuring these designs were displayed at the Waterfront in Cape Town, allowing the public to engage with the art and its message of peace. The collection also included a design by South African footballer and Non-Violence Ambassador Aaron Mokoena, reinforcing the importance of local talent and values in the fight against violence.
The Coloud Headphones project remains a testament to the power of collaboration, proving that sport and creativity can inspire unity, spark conversation, and promote peaceful coexistence worldwide.
NVPs first and unique collaboration with Coca Cola in 1995. This was also the first external colab on the vending machines for Coke.
