Beatrice Fihn

Beatrice Fihn is a Swedish lawyer and former Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the coalition awarded the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to prohibit and eliminate nuclear weapons.

Under her leadership, ICAN played a key role in the development of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, adopted by the United Nations in 2017. She accepted the Nobel Peace Prize and delivered the Nobel Lecture in Oslo on behalf of the campaign.

As a Non-Violence Ambassador, Fihn stands up for peace and is passionate about educating youth on peaceful conflict resolution.
