  • 1 Let yourself feel
    – it’s okay not to be okay.

Sadness, anger, anxiety or emptiness isn’t dangerous. Feeling is part of being human.
  • 2 Don’t judge yourself.

Be kind to yourself. You’re going through something - and that takes strength. Talk to yourself like you would to a friend.
  • 3 Focus on now
    – not everything at once.

What do you need right now? A shower? Rest? Someone to talk to? Take it one thing at a time.
  • 4 Do something that makes you feel good.

Think about what lifts your mood - maybe a show you like, music in your ears, or time with someone you care about. Small things can make a big difference.
  • 5 Move your body
    – even a little helps.

A short walk, a bike ride, or some fresh air can help release tension and lift your mood.
  • 6 Write it down
    – let it out.

Getting your thoughts on paper can help you sort through them, understand them, and let them go.
  • 7 Take a break from pressure – you don’t have to perform all the time.

Give yourself space to just be. Turn off your screen, breathe, rest.
  • 8 Be near someone
    – closeness can calm.

Hug a pet, call someone you trust, or just sit near another person. You’re not alone.
  • 9 Say it out loud
    – to someone you trust.

Putting how you feel into words can be the first step to feeling better. You don’t need to have the answer - just start talking.
  • 10 Ask for help
    – support is out there.

Talk to a school counselor, youth center, chat service, or a trusted adult. Asking for help is a step forward.

Congratulations, you've completed the ten steps.

Do you want to revisit them?
