Every 7 minutes an adolescent is killed by an act of violence.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe that everybody who has seen or experienced violence wants to live a peaceful life rather than a violent one.
We believe that nobody is born violent. If we learn to become violent we can also learn to be non- violent.
We believe that Mahatma Gandhi was right when he said: “If you want to change the world, you must start with the children.”
We believe in the power of education to change mentalities and behaviours. And we believe that it should be driven by the urge to know, not by the duty to teach.

OUR ACTIONS

RAISING AWARENESS

To achieve our mission, we raise awareness on the benefits of non-violence in many ways: leading campaigns, partnering with various entities and promoting our symbol and cause worldwide.

PROVIDING EDUCATION

As we believe in the power of education to change behaviors, our focus is on training with the aim to inspire, motivate and engage our audience in respectful and non-violent relationships.

Our programs are made for children, teenagers, young adults and adults. Our areas of training are mainly conflict management, communication and all related subjects using social emotional intelligence. All our trainings can be tailor made and adaptable to all needs of any organization.

The Non-Violence Project

The Non-Violence Project is a non-profit organization created in 1993 with the goal of preventing and reducing violence. The organization is headquartered in Switzerland and is active in many countries around the world. Its symbol, the Knotted Gun, is an international symbol of peace.
