SPORTS FOR PEACE
During the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, we engaged several prominent footballers such as Gianluigi Buffon, Michael Ballack, Aaron Mokoena and Alex Song to interpret the Non-Violence symbol. The campaign included youth soccer tournaments, violence prevention education and ”Train the Trainers” programs in the towns ships of Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Leading up, during and after the FIFA World Cup 2014, we delivered Football for Peace educational programs to thousands of sport coaches and young athletes in most of the hosting cities. This program has since then developed into a national Futebol Pela Paz program in partnership with WWSA (World Wide Soccer Academies, http://wwsa.com.br/wwsa-about-us/) and we currently run17 football schools in Brazil.
